Jennifer Garcia

As the Operations Analyst of the HSRC, Jennifer is delighted to be a part of such an innovative collaboration between the University of Miami and Humana. Jennifer’s primary responsibility is the organization of the research center and its finances. Her role includes working with the research teams to develop project budgets, track resource utilization and measure profitability.

Jennifer was born and raised in Grenoble, France by an American mother and a French-Spanish father.  She relocated to Boston, Mass. during her high school years and graduated with a B.S. in Finance and International Business from Northeastern University. She has a number of financial accreditations including Series 7, 63 and 9 licenses. After graduating college in 2003, Jennifer joined the Smith Barney's Equity Research team in New York supporting their consumer industry investment research team.  In August 2004, Jennifer relocated to Florida and transitioned into a management position for Smith Barney Retail Brokerage. Prior to her new role at the HSRC, Jennifer was an Account Executive for Nationstar Mortgage, a division of Fortress Investment Group.

Jennifer is married and enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.
